Okay, so this isn't really breaking news. It's been public knowledge for at least a few weeks now, but the pomp and circumstance is taking place at a downtown Ottawa hotel today.
The 2012 NHL All-Star Game is heading to the Nation's Capital. (No, not Washington.) The game will take place on the weekend of January 28th.
Ottawa and the Senators have hosted their fair share of big hockey events over the last several years, including the 2007 Stanley Cup Finals, the 2008 NHL Draft and the 2009 World Junior Hockey Championships.
The game will be played at Scotiabank Place, which is practically in the middle of nowhere outside the city in Kanata, Ontario. They really should just play the game on the Rideau Canal, but nevertheless.
