NFL Week 2 Preview, Prediction: New Orleans Saints Vs. San Francisco 49ers

New Orleans Saints (1-0) vs. San Francisco 49ers (0-1)

When: 8:00 p.m. Monday, ESPN

SB Nation Saints: Canal Street Chronicles

SB Nation 49ers: Niners Nation

Breakdown: America loves the Saints as they return to national TV for the second straight week. The Saints offense wasn't quite up to their 2009 standards last week but after seeing the Seahawks put up 31 on the 49ers, I suspect they'll get back on track this week.

Player to Watch: Alex Smith. If the 49ers have any shot of winning this, Alex Smith will need a career game. He struggled last week and, frankly, it's hard to see him doing much better this week.

Line: Saints are 5.5 point favorites.

Prediction:I think that's a generous line for the 49ers. I'd take the Saints winning by more than a touchdown.

NFL Week 2 Preview, Prediction: New York Giants Vs. Indianapolis Colts

New York Giants (1-0) vs. Indianapolis Colts (0-1)

When: 8:30 p.m. Sunday, NBC

SB Nation Giants: Big Blue View

SB Nation Colts: Stampede Blue

Breakdown: The Manning Bowl returns. The Giants are coming off of a big win and the Colts are coming off of a big loss. This should be among the most high-scoring games of the week because both teams have top ten quarterbacks. In fantasy football terms, don't take the Giants or Colts defense.

Player to Watch: Hakeem Nicks. Last week he had three touchdowns so clearly the Colts will key in on him. The Giants will need to score quite a bit to win this game and Nicks will need to be part of that.

Line: Colts are five point favorites.

Prediction: Would you bet against the Colts after a loss? I wouldn't.

NFL Week 2 Preview, Prediction: New England Patriots Vs. New York Jets

New England Patriots (1-0) vs. New York Jets (0-1)

When: 4:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Patriots: Pats Pulpit

SB Nation Jets: Gang Green Nation

Breakdown: Arguably the best rivalry in the game today kicks off on Sunday afternoon. The Patriots are coming off of a big win while the Jets are coming off of a loss. After talking big throughout the offseason, you can imagine the Jets are feeling desperate right now.  The Patriots strength is their offense while the Jets strength is their defense. This is the game of the week.

Player to Watch: Mark Sanchez. The Jets will have to score points against the Patriots. This isn't the Ravens where two touchdowns might be able to get it done. If the Jets have a shot, Sanchez needs to be a competent quarterback.

Line: Patriots are three point favorites.

Prediction: When you know the Patriots will score at least a couple of touchdowns, how can you watch last week's game and expect the Jets to top that? Take the Patriots.

NFL Week 2 Preview, Prediction: Jacksonville Jaguars Vs. San Diego Chargers

Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) vs. San Diego Chargers (0-1)

When: 4:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Jaguars: Big Cat Country

SB Nation Chargers: Bolts From The Blue

Breakdown: It looks like this game will be blacked out for the Chargers and if they lose like they did against the Chiefs last week, that's a good thing. The Jaguars, like the Chiefs did last week, will need to come up with an unconventional way to score such as a interception/punt return. I'm not sure the Jags offense can consistently beat the Chargers.

Player to Watch: Darren Sproles. He was invisible last week against the Chiefs and that's too bad for San Diego because he's one of their real weapons. Look for the Chargers to figure out how to work Sproles into the rotation with Ryan Mathews.

Line: Chargers are seven point favorites.

Prediction: The Chargers should have won last week and I'm going to pick them to win this week.

NFL Week 2 Preview, Prediction: Houston Texans Vs. Washington Redskins

Houston Texans (1-0) vs. Washington Redskins (1-0)

When: 4:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Texans: Battle Red Blog

SB Nation Redskins: Hogs Haven

Breakdown: If you had asked me last week, I would have said this game would be among the worst we'll see in the second week of the season. Now? It's one of the best. The Texans are going to come out and try to throw all over the Redskins, whose defense was very impressive against the Cowboys. The Texans may have a better offense than the Cowboys so this game is going to be a good test to see whether the Redskins defense was legit.

Player to Watch: Keep an eye on Donovan McNabb and that Redskins offense. If last week is any indication, they're nowhere near the Texans offense so they'll need to come up with some way to score points and that usually starts with the quarterback.

Line: Texans are three point favorites.

Prediction: This might be the toughest game of the week but with the Redskins at home, fired up crowd after last week, I'll go with the upset and take Washington by a field goal.

NFL Week 2 Preview, Prediction: Seattle Seahawks Vs. Denver Broncos

Seattle Seahawks (1-0) Vs. Denver Broncos (0-1)

When: 4:00 p.m. Sunday, FOX

SB Nation Seahawks: Field Gulls

SB Nation Broncos: Mile High Report

Breakdown: After watching the Seahawks dismantle the 49ers last week, all preconceived notions of the Pete Carroll era are out the window. The Broncos will want to use new running back Laurence Maroney along with Knowshon Moreno to control the game and let Kyle Orton hurt them when he needs to.

Player to Watch: Laurence Maroney. The Broncos traded for him this week and we're not completely sure he'll play but if he does how many carries will he take away from Moreno? What will his role be? It's an interesting move for the Broncos who already have a number one running back.

Line: Broncos are 3.5 point favorites.

Prediction: Take the Broncos here because we're not quite sold on the Seahawks yet.

NFL Week 2 Preview, Prediction: St. Louis Rams Vs. Oakland Raiders

St. Louis Rams (0-1) Vs. Oakland Raiders (0-1)

When: 4:00 p.m. Sunday, FOX

SB Nation Rams: Turf Show Times

SB Nation Raiders: Silver and Black Pride

Breakdown: This could be an entertaining game simply because it's between arguably the two worst teams in the NFL. The Raiders have a good run defense on paper so I'd imagine the Rams will take this chance to test out Sam Bradford's arm now again -- except with the Raiders, half the field is shut off with Nnamdi Asomugha.

Player to Watch: Sam Bradford. He's the number one pick and, even though it's just his second game, this is the Raiders he's going up against. He should have a decent game for a rookie.

Line: Raiders are 3.5 point favorites.

Prediction: The Raiders are favored to win but it wouldn't be much of a surprise to see Bradford and Steven Jackson pull this one out. I'm going with the Rams by a field goal.

NFL Week 2 Preview, Prediction: Miami Dolphins Vs. Minnesota Vikings

Miami Dolphins (1-0) vs. Minnesota Vikings (0-1)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Dolphins: The Phinsider

SB Nation Vikings: Daily Norseman

Breakdown: Brandon Marshall will ideally be involved more in this game against the Vikings. It'll be difficult for the Dolphins to run much so look for them to air it out a little more with Marshall being the beneficiary of that. The Vikings are coming off of a season opening loss and are clearly one of the teams to beat in the NFC so they'll be a tough out.

Player to Watch: Adrian Peterson. Last week Brett Favre didn't look like he was all the way back so I could see the Vikings giving it to Peterson more often to help control the game.

Line: Vikings are 5.5 point favorites.

Prediction: The Vikings are too good to pick against them but I do think this game becomes interesting if Brandon Marshall has a big day.

NFL Week 2 Preview, Prediction: Arizona Cardinals Vs. Atlanta Falcons

Arizona Cardinals (1-0) vs. Atlanta Falcons (0-1)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, FOX

SB Nation Cardinals: Revenge of the Birds

SB Nation Falcons: The Falcoholic

Breakdown: The Cardinals have some quarterback issues with Derek Anderson (not very good) and Max Hall (not much experience). The Falcons are coming off of a touch loss against the Steelers in overtime. This should be all Falcons, all the time at home.

Player to Watch: Michael Turner. I think the Falcons can run the ball pretty well and they'll show that on Sunday against the Cardinals. They're coming off the tough game against the Steelers so it's time to put your nose to the grindstone and physically dominate the Cardinals. We'll see if that happens.

Line: Falcons are 6.5 point favorites.

Prediction: I'm looking for a big Falcons win. I think you'll see them win by more than a touchdown.

NFL Week 2 Preview, Prediction: Chicago Bears Vs. Dallas Cowboys

Chicago Bears (1-0) vs. Dallas Cowboys (0-1)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, FOX

SB Nation Bears: Windy City Gridiron

SB Nation Cowboys: Blogging The Boys

Breakdown: This should be another fun game to watch as the Cowboys will be looking to hit someone hard after losing to the Redskins on national TV last week. The Cowboys are the better team without a doubt but the Bears have guys like Jay Cutler, Matt Forte and Devin Hester that will keep the game interesting.

Player to Watch: Jay Cutler. I see there's a big line for this game but if Cutler plays well, I think this is close. By playing well, that means no interceptions. Mike Martz clearly has had an influence on him now he has to continue the transformation and eliminate the picks.

Line: Cowboys are eight point favorites.

Prediction: You should definitely take the Cowboys in this game but if you ask me I don't see this being a blowout. My prediction has the Cowboys winning by seven -- or less.

NFL Week 2 Preview, Prediction: Philadelphia Eagles Vs. Detroit Lions

Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) vs. Detroit Lions (0-1)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, FOX

SB Nation Eagles: Bleeding Green Nation

SB Nation Lions: Pride Of Detroit

Breakdown: The Eagles are too good in most places on offense for the Lions, even with Kevin Kolb potentially out. Add in that the Lions are missing Matthew Stafford and this game could be rough for Detroit.

Player to Watch: Michael Vick. Who else would we watch? It appears as of now that Kolb won't be playing and Vick will be starting. If that's the case, then it's going to be very interesting if Vick puts up another big performance. There are already folks in Philly who want Vick as the full-time starter after last week and this would only fuel the fire.

Line: Eagles are six point favorites.

Prediction: It's looking like a battle of backup quarterbacks and we'll have to go with Vick and the Eagles in that one. I see the Eagles winning by more than one score.

NFL Week 2 Preview, Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers Vs. Tennessee Titans

Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0) vs. Tennessee Titans (1-0)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Steelers: Behind The Steel Curtain

SB Nation Titans: Music City Miracles

Breakdown: This will be a nice battle of strengths between these teams. The Steelers strength is defense and stopping the run while the Titans love to run the ball. The defense usually wins out in these types of games but Chris Johnson has shown again and again that you can't count him out.

Player to Watch: Vince Young. Chris Johnson will clearly be the focal point in this game as he'll represent a good chunk of the yardage the Titans hope to get. With the focus on CJ, Vince Young needs to make the Steelers pay. If they're putting eight or nine in the box, he needs to threaten them with his arm and make the Steelers respect him.

Line: Titans are five point favorites.

Prediction: The Titans are the favorites but I'm going with the Steelers and the upset. I have confidence that they can at least contain Chris Johnson and put the game on Vince Young's shoulders.

NFL Week 2 Preview, Prediction: Baltimore Ravens Vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Baltimore Ravens (1-0) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (0-1)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Ravens: Baltimore Beatdown

SB Nation Bengals: Cincy Jungle

Breakdown: These are always intense divisional matchups between these two teams because they're somewhat similar these days. Both are pretty well rounded teams with a solid defense and above average passing game with talented receivers.

Player to Watch: Terrell Owens. I suspect the Ravens will try to shut down Chad Ochocinco, who had 159 yards last week. That would leave his cohort, T.O., looking at some favorable coverage. The Bengals will need a big game from one of those guys to have a good shot at winning this game.

Line: Ravens are two point favorites.

Prediction: That Ravens team looked too good on Monday night for me to pick against them. Since this is a divisional game, I expect it to be close. Ravens by less than a touchdown.

NFL Week 2 Preview, Prediction: Buffalo Bills Vs. Green Bay Packers

Buffalo Bills (0-1) at Green Bay Packers (1-0)

When: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, CBS

SB Nation Bills: Buffalo Rumblings

SB Nation Packers: Acme Packing Company

Breakdown: This game shouldn't be close. The Bills are clearly a rebuilding and struggling team but showed some fight against the Dolphins. However, the Packers think of themselves as an elite team so they should be able to move the ball relatively well, even if they are adjusting to the loss of Ryan Grant.

Player to Watch: Brandon Jackson is replacing Ryan Grant, who was lost for the season. How the Packers handle his loss will be key moving forward. Jackson's not quite the runner Grant is but can catch some balls out of the backfield.

Line: Packers are 12.5 point favorites.

Prediction: There's really no reason to think the Packers won't win this game by two scores or more.
