The Redskins are one of a handful of teams that have been linked to Chargers restricted free agent Vincent Jackson. There was an unconfirmed report on Wednesday morning suggesting the Redskins were working on a deal with Jackson.
Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan quickly put a stop to those rumors on Wednesday.
"That's another rumor that comes up, and it's a rumor. There's no credence to it," Shanahan said after practice Wednesday. Asked if he'd like to the lay the rumor to rest, Shanahan said, "I think I just did."
The Rams are reportedly not interested in Jackson anymore and there's been no update on the Vikings interest.
