WR Hank Baskett Joins Vikings As Vincent Jackson Trade Rumors Continue

The Vikings signed WR Hank Baskett to a one-year contract and he was already in practice with the team on Wednesday.

The signing is of note because the Vikings have reportedly talked to the Chargers about a trade for WR Vincent Jackson. Now, I would hope the Vikings wouldn't let Baskett make the decision whether they go after Jackson or not.

The Vikings will be Baskett's fifth team in the last five years.

The Vikings are also missing Sidney Rice for at least the first weeks of the season. WR Percy Harvin also has a strained hip and his status is uncertain next week.

That could have put the Vikings down to three active receivers so Baskett's signing makes sense.

Check out Daily Norseman for more on Hank Baskett.
