Alabama began its reign as defending national champions today without the services of Heisman winner Mark Ingram, whose knee surgery this week prevented him from taking the field against San Jose State. But that hasn't slowed the Crimson Tide. 'Bama's gotten two rushing touchdowns from Trent Richardson and another from Eddie Lacy, and Julio Jones, well, did this:
Alabama's still cruising, up 41-3 at the beginning of the fourth quarter and sitting on more than 500 yards of offense. Maybe losing Ingram was just casting off dead weight!
...on second thought, San Jose State is probably really bad.
