According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jarrad Page's new contract with the Chiefs kept him on the Kansas City roster for only a short time. How short? Try less than 24 hours.
Filed to ESPN: Chiefs traded S Jarrad Page, who signed his contract only on Friday, to New England for a conditional draft pick.
Page signed a restricted free agent tender on Friday after requesting a trade over the summer, and was expected to be traded. He played only the first five games of the 2009 season, and sat out the entire preseason as rookie Eric Berry emerged as a playmaker in the Chiefs' secondary.
Another trade between Kansas City's Scott Pioli and his former team may raise a few eyebrows, but it also might shore up the Patriots' secondary, which lost Leigh Bodden for the season earlier this week.
