Boise State Vs. Virginia Tech: Clever Meets Unsubtle

We’ll be here all night watching Boise State and Virginia Tech decide whether Boise and TCU will both be on the doom train to scuttle the BCS. Observations, screencaps, and occasional light slander will follow. For brief study on Boise State’s offense, you can’t do much better than this summary of some of BSU’s favorite strategies.

For an idea of how Virginia Tech works as a football team, this is probably the best way to illustrate how they work.

We’ve got the MusburGame tonight, so you know YOU’RE LOOKING LIVE at potential greatness.

The first offensive play

Pass interference on the flea-flicker that opens up the first possession of the game.

Oh, this should be a far sight better than last year’s game in terms of interesting plays (May regret this statement when both teams resort to ground and pound 15 times)

Andrew Lanier’s mustache makes me wonder if he owns a van.

Also, #90 on Boise State makes me wonder if he can run through a van.

What? Boise St. isn't bad?

I see the VT secondary decided to ignore the powder blue uniformed man in the end zone.

Shaping up like a classic VT

Chokefest. It’s still early, but it has all the signs.

ACC is about to regress to the mean . . .

Apparently the whole conference must suffer for UNC’s insolence.

ACC has had a strong weekend, obviously.

We’re the conference that managed to beat an FCS team.

That’s a bummer since UNC lost that game regardless of insolence.

I don't know

They devoured their cupcakes unlike a certain, power conference. The big games are more a sign of “up top” power than “total conference power”
