So much for the Big East Tournament hangover. Kemba Walker and Connecticut followed up their shocking run to the Big East Tournament title by routing No. 14 seed Bucknell, 82-51, in a West Region game.
The game was never close after the Huskies went on a 12-2- run to close the first half. UCONN led by as many as 41 points in the second half, which is amazing. It's even more amazing that Walker and most of the other UCONN starters played until the final four minutes of the game. They certainly weren't needed. Walker ended with 18 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds to lead the way.
UCONN will now take on the winner of the game between No. 6 seed Cincinnati and No. 11 seed Missouri. Here's the updated look at the West region of the 2011 NCAA Tournament bracket.
