NCAA Tournament Update: Ohio State Comfortably Ahead Of Texas-San Antonio At Halftime

Stay connected with SB Nation

NCAA Tournament overall No. 1 seed Ohio State has had little trouble in its first game against No. 16 seed Texas-San Antonio. The Buckeyes haven't completely overwhelmed the Roadrunners, because that's not what they do, but they do have a comfortable 37-21 lead at halftime.

For the Buckeyes, it's been William Buford, not Jared Sullinger, that has led the way. Buford has 15 first-half points, including a 3-4 performance from behind the three-point line. Sullinger added nine points and six rebounds, and Jon Diebler added nine points as well.

Texas-San Antonio is actually shooting a respectable 45 percent from the field, but is just 1-8 from downtown. They like to push the ball normally, but have played a slowdown style in this game, which has caught Ohio State off guard.
