SB Nation's 2011 NFL mock draft continues with the 34th overall pick and picking for the Buffalo Bills will be Buffalo Rumblings. They have a bit of a surprise in the second round with QB Jake Locker still on the board. It's too much to pass up so Locker is the pick.
Buffalo Rumblings explains Locker in Buffalo.
He's a Gailey type of quarterback, capable of making plays on the move, and Gailey can scheme around his flaws just as easily as he could Newton's. (I mean, it's not like Fitzpatrick is the most accurate guy in the world, and Gailey loves him.) I think you get as much upside in Locker as you do with the other guys, and in this case, you get it at significantly better value (and compared to Newton, much less off-field risk). Locker's no sure bet, but Buffalo is an ideal developmental situation for him, and it's a risk worth taking.
I like this pick if only because I totally don't expect him to be here. Locker should be a first round pick. Crazier things have happened but plenty of teams will reach on a quarterback and I suspect Locker will be gone. But for Buffalo here, this is a solid pick.
