SB Nation's 2011 NFL mock draft continues with the Washington Redskins. Hogs Haven, picking 41st, has selected Baylor G Danny Watkins to help solidify that offensive line. Having picked OT Trent Williams last year, it's clear Mike Shanahan wants to fix this offensive line.
Here's what Hogs Haven said about the pick:
What he lacks in experience on the gridiron, he makes up for in strength, athleticism and technique - the exact things that Mike Shanahan and son/assistant Kyle value most in their offensive linemen. The 26-year old also brings a great deal of maturity and character, having spent four years as a firefighter in his native British Columbia.
When Shanahan went to the Redskins, I always imagined them having an elite offensive line like his days in Denver. We'll see if he decides to address that this week in the real NFL draft.
