2011 NFL Mock Draft: Jacksonville Jaguars Select G Ben Ijalana

SB Nation's 2011 NFL mock draft continues in the second round with Big Cat Country selecting for the Jacksonville Jaguars. They decided to go offense again selecting G Ben Ijalana.

Here's what they said about the pick:

While some feel the Jaguars' selection of Christian Ponder at No. 16 might have been a reach, as the draft has fallen it was the only way the Jaguars were to come away with their quarterback of the future in this draft. In the second round however, while the Jaguars' biggest needs are on the defensive side of the football, the pick of offensive lineman Ben Ijalana is purely a best available player pick on my draft board.

You're not going to find me complaining very often about spending first and second round picks on offensive linemen. If Ponder stands a chance of succeeding in Jacksonville, he needs a competent line. I like this pick.
