2011 NFL Draft Results: Philadelphia Eagles Select S Jaiquawn Jarrett

Stay connected with SB Nation

With the 54th pick in the 2011 NFL draft, the Philadelphia Eagles selected Jaiquawn Jarrett out of Temple.

This is a solid pick from top to bottom. He's smart with a clean off-the-field profile and was nearly a four-year starter. He can play free or strong safety so he offers some versatility. With S Nate Allen last year, the Eagles secondary is looking solid.

The Eagles have now shored up the offensive line with first round pick G Danny Watkins and the defense with Jarrett in the second round.
