2011 NFL Draft Results: Lions Trade Up With Seahawks, Select Mikel Leshoure

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Seattle Seahawks held the 57th pick in the 2011 NFL draft but traded it to the Detroit Lions, who used the pick on RB Mikel Leshoure.

I love this pick. Some argued that Leshoure was the best back in the draft. He's big at over 220 pounds and ran for over 1,700 yards at Illinois. He can catch the ball out of the backfield and has a lot of upside.

Detroit got a steal in DT Nick Fairley in round one and follow that up with another excellent pick. Watch out -- Detroit is o their way back.

As for the trade details, Seattle traded its 2nd-round pick, 5th-round and 7th-rd pick for Detroit's 3rd (75), 4th (107), 5th (No. 154) and 7th (205)
