Prediction: Daniel Thomas will be the most drafted fantasy football rookie next year.
The Kansas State RB was picked by the Miami Dolphins with the 62nd overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft. He's a big back with lots of production at Kansas State that will be ready to step in and play quickly.
But will he be able to get on the field right away?
That of course depends on the future of RB Ricky Williams and RB Ronnie Brown. We're not sure if either one will be back. If they're not, this becomes Thomas' team. Even if they are, he adds an extra dynamic that Miami can use in year one.
With their first two picks in the draft, the Dolphins selected a center and and a running back so it's clear they're vamping up their running attack. I'm predicting that fans will start to flock to Thomas if/when he becomes the feature back at Miami. The Dolphins traded up for him so you know they like him quite a bit.
I've watched him for a couple years at K-State and he's ready for major competition. This is a good fit for Thomas.
