As the 2011 NFL draft hits the middle of the sixth round, let's examine picks 181-185:
181. Oakland Raiders select TE Richard Gordon from Miami. Gordon had 10 career receptions for Hurricanes. Either the Raiders are completely insane or value his blocking skills. (Or both.)
182. San Francisco 49ers select WR Ronald Johnson from USC. Johnson ("RoJo") was very productive for Trojans, as new 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh well knows.
183. San Diego Chargers select RB Jordan Todman from Connecticut. Todman was a superb workhorse for Huskies. Chargers may have gotten great value for a sixth round pick.
184. Arizona Cardinals select DT David Carter of UCLA. Perennial Bruins starter provides some push up the middle, but stands out as neither rusher nor run-stuffer.
185. New York Giants select LB Greg Jones of Michigan State. Jones was a two-time All-American for Spartans, but concerns about his size and speed led him to fall.
