Super Bowl Ticket Lawsuit Is Aimed At Cowboys, Jerry Jones And NFL

The story surrounding the 2011 Super Bowl tickets fiasco continues on. According to the latest reports, a Los Angeles-based law firm is filing a class-action lawsuit against the Dallas Cowboys, owner Jerry Jones and the NFL. The suit involves those 400 fans who had a ticket to the game but were unable to use their seats because of unfinished temporary seating sections and fans who had valid tickets but obstructed views of the game.

The lawsuit is seeking $5 million in damages.

Super Bowl XLV Ticket Drama May Finally Have A Resolution

Call it the Super Bowl storyline that won't die. The story has nothing to do with the game itself, nor the performances on the field, but instead is centered around a few hundred ticket holders that didn't have seats. From complaints from the misplaced guests to complaints about the complaints, there's been an ongoing, nationwide dialog about the Cowboys Stadium ticket snafu.

Now, we may finally have a resolution. Not only have the 400 ticket holders forced to watch the game on a television in an enclosed room been offered tickets to a NASCAR event, they've also been offered transferable tickets to the 2012 Super Bowl in addition to the promised refund for triple the face value of the tickets. That's option one. Individuals can take the tickets and do whatever they please, including selling the tickets for what's likely a huge profit.

Super Bowl 2011 TV Replay On NFL Network, For The TiVo-Disinclined

For those of you who didn't tape Super Bowl XLV on your basement VCR, the game is scheduled to be replayed Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 8 pm EST on NFL Network. It's billed as an "enhanced re-air," and if you know anything about the NFL's traditional usage of the word "enhanced," then you're probably expecting that to mean the game will somehow contain two additional games that nobody wants to see.

Actually, it means extra replays and postgame interviews spliced in during the course of the game in place of standin'-around time, a welcome edit indeed. The game won't feature the same run of Super Bowl commercials, though you can just read this apology from HomeAway instead of watching the baby-smashin' commercial itself.

HomeAway Issues Apology For 'Test Baby' Super Bowl Commercial

If you remember any commercials from Super Bowl Sunday, you surely remember HomeAway's "Test Baby" ad, in which a man falls into a table, catapulting a baby into the air. The baby's face smashes against and streaks down the wall, and the audiovisual assurances that it was merely a "test baby" weren't enough for some disturbed viewers.

So, as seems to happen every year, a company is apologizing for the perceived tastelessness of its ad. From a statement issued on Tuesday by HomeAway:

2011 Super Bowl Commercials: Best Ads Are Still The Dumbest Ads

If you thought Volkswagen won the Super Bowl advertising battle with its "The Force" commercial, then you clearly are not dumb enough to be in the target demographic for Super Bowl commercials. According to USA TODAY's Ad Meter -- in which 282 adults give their real-time feedback -- the top two commercials during the game were from Doritos and Bud Light. Both involved dogs, and both were mind-numbingly stupid -- the key combo for success, apparently. Video of them both after the jump.

Super Bowl In New York Will Be Prepared For Bad Weather, Unlike Dallas

By now the dust has started to settle on the 2011 Super Bowl in Dallas. One of the top story lines coming out of the game was the weather throughout the week in Texas. The ice and snow caused problems -- for fans, media and even the Green Bay Packers, who moved their practices indoors -- but it wasn't the weather people had a problem with.
