2011 Super Bowl: NFL's Big Game Heads To Cowboys Stadium, Football's Biggest Stage

The 2011 Super Bowl will take place on the NFL's biggest stage.

Super Bowl XLV will kick off at 6:25 p.m. Eastern (5:25 p.m. Central) two Sundays from now, on February 7, from Cowboys Stadium in Dallas. It will match the AFC champions and NFC champions for the Lombardi Trophy for the 45th time, and it might be the biggest Super Bowl in the history of the NFL's biggest game.

That's because, thanks to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, this Super Bowl will aspire to prove that everything really is bigger in Texas. Jones has spun this Super Bowl as a reason the $1.2 billion investment into Cowboys Stadium will have been worth it, and Jones wants this to be the best-attended Super Bowl in NFL history.

That's more possible because of an NFL ruling that tickets sold outside Cowboys Stadium will count toward the game's official attendance.

The Cowboys began making the outside tickets available Tuesday to club-seat season-ticket holders. The fans can buy tickets to a party plaza area at the east end of Cowboys Stadium, outside the building.

The tickets will cost $200 a piece and each season ticket holder will be allowed to purchase up to four tickets, the team said.

The party plaza tickets, however, do not allow holders into the actual stadium.
