OddsShark Staff

 - Thursday night football returns with an AFC West clash where many of the betting trends seem to favor the Oakland Raiders at San Diego. Both teams come off losses and the Raiders are 0-2 since the Carson palmer trade, but they are 5-1 ATS past 6 games as an underdog and 4-0 ATS past four games vs the Chargers. San Diego was scorched for 45 points by Green Bay last week, while the Raiders were picked apart by Tim Tebow.

Both teams are sitting at 4-4 in an AFC West that's wide open for the taking. As mentioned, both teams are coming off losses in shootout fashion. The total for the game is only set at 49, with both teams averaging at least 23 points a game on offense with both defenses giving up at least 25.5 points per game.

On the season, the Chargers have been a bad bet against the spread, going only 2-6 ATS. The Raiders on the other hand, have been a bit more even keel, going 4-3 ATS and pushing once.
