The Ohio State Buckeyes still have an outside shot to play in the first ever Big Ten Championship game and can keep towards that direction with a win on the road over Purdue.
The Ohio State Buckeyes started off a disappointing 3-3, but have rallied three straight Big Ten games, including knocking off Illinois and upsetting Wisconsin on a Hail Mary. Quarterback Braxton Miller has taken over for the Buckeyes and has their offense moving the football the last three games. Using his arm and his legs, Miller has kept defenses honest as he's lead the Buckeyes to three straight wins. The Ohio State defense as always has kept the Buckeyes in games and should have no problem holding a struggling Purdue team in check.
The Boilermakers have dropped their last two games, including a crushing 62-17 loss to the Badgers last week. The Boilermakers defense has struggled to keep teams off the scoreboard. Purdue finally settled on a quarterback this season in Caleb TerBush, but the passing game has still been mediocre. The Purdue rushing attack has also been almost non-existent and should continue to struggle against the Buckeyes. The Buckeyes offense hasn't exactly lit it up, so if TerBush and the Purdue offense can get it going, they can keep the game close.
