Race fans in the deep South, and especially those in the metro Atlanta area, who are looking for a great Christmas season experience with those they love - even the non-race fans in the family, whom we disown most of the year - have a new and affordable opportunity courtesy of the Atlanta Motor Speedway.
The track is hosting the Georgia Gift of Lights, a drive-through park featuring over a million LED lights in 1.54 miles of gorgeous festive displays. The event opens this Friday, November 18, and runs every night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. through New Year's Day. That includes Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. The track's gift shop will extend its hours until 9 p.m. for each night of the display, so fans can stop in and do some Christmas shopping.
It is just $15 per vehicle to take in the Gift of Lights, and the first 15,000 cars to the display will be treated to a goodie bag. Admission for buses is $1 per person with a $20 minimum.
FOX 5 Atlanta is hosting a drive for Toys for Tots Nov. 23, and those donating a new toy will recieve $5 off their admission.
