I know there have been a few of these running around here so I thought we could put our ideas for our team's draft into one thread. Seeing a bunch of lists all together should also help give people less familiar with certain teams get a feel for team needs of other teams and what kind of players their fans think should fill those needs.
Since I'm a Colts fan (yay for me) I'll throw up a few of my variations to start out.
Picking 1st Overall:
1. Andrew Luck QB Stanford
2. Chase Minnifield CB Virginia
3. Colby Fleener TE Stanford
4. Ryan Miller G Colorado
5. Tavon Wilson SS Illinois
6. Malik Jackson DE Tennessee
7. Greg McCoy CB/KR Texas Christian
Picking 2nd Overall:
1. Matt Kalil OT Southern California
2. Ryan Tannehill QB Texas A&M
3. Markelle Martin S Oklahoma State
4. Keith Tandy CB West Virginia
5. Marvin McNutt WR Iowa
6. Mike Martin DT Michigan
7. Tashaun Gipson CB Wyoming
In the first list the prize is obviously Luck and Minnifield would be a huge boost in the secondary moving Powers and Thomas to #2 and nickel where they are passable. The rest including Fleener are tools to make Luck's life easier and bodies sorely needed on defense.
The second list is more about trying to win with Manning and develop Tannehill to start in a few years. With Kalil added to a line that should get Castonzo, Ijalana, Reitz etc back next year could be a foundation for a competitive offense even if Tannehill has to start right away.
