The Pittsburgh Steelers can keep themselves in the heated battle for the AFC North if they can pick up a win against the Kansas City Chiefs on the road and avoid a post-bye week stumble.
The Pittsburgh Steelers had their bye week come at just the right time, giving the Steelers time to rest up some injured players. One player dealing with an injury is quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Coming off the bye week, Roethlisberger and the Steelers head into a critical stretch of games while they are in a heated battle for the AFC North title. The Steelers split their last two games, coming off a victory against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Chiefs on the other hand are dealing with their own quarterback injury issues. Matt Cassel missed last week with an injury and was placed on injured reserve. Back up quarterback Tyler Palko got the start, but struggled to do much offensively against the New England Patriots. Palko will get the start again on Sunday, but the leash on him could be short with the Chiefs recently claiming quarterback Kyle Orton off of waivers. The Chiefs are still in the hunt for the wide open AFC West and a win over the Steelers could go a long way.
