The Buffalo Bills and New Jets are going to clash in an AFC East battle. Both teams are coming off of victories and will be looking to stake their claim in the division.
The Buffalo Bills are a time on the rise after having locked up quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick with a nice new contract. Fitzpatrick is having an excellent season thus far, throwing for 14 touchdowns and a quarterback rating of 97.8. The Bills offense has hummed along, leading them to be undefeated at home during 2011. They'll be looking to show the Jets they're the team to beat in the AFC East after dominating the Washington Redskins 23-0 last weekend.
The Jets last year swept the Bills in both AFC East match ups, but that was clearly not the same Bills team they will be playing on Sunday. It's not the same Jets team, either. Quarterback Mark Sanchez has quietly turning his performances around, throwing twice as many touchdowns as interceptions so far this season. Sanchez is coming off a 3 touchdown performance against the San Diego Chargers in the Jets win prior to their bye week. The Jets are also expecting their running backs Shonn Greene and LaDainian Tomlinson to be healthy and All-Pro center Nick Mangold to be back.
For the Bills, this could further them along in winning their first AFC East division title in years and for the Jets it can get them right back into the race.
