The San Francisco 49ers look to keep their winning streak alive as they head to the east coast to take on the bumbling Washington Redskins.
The Washington Redskins have dropped their last three games, changing quarterbacks, as they limp back home to take on a San Francisco 49ers that's on a roll. The Redskins have rolled with John Beck at quarterback their last two weeks on an offense that's lost their top running backs and has struggled to do much offensively. They'll look to catch a team traveling from the west coast to the east coast and get off the skid.
The 49ers on the other hand have won five straight games no the back of a strong defense and the resurgence of quarterback Alex Smith's career. New head coach John Harbaugh has turn Smith from a bust into an efficient quarterback that can run his offense and win ball games. Smith has throw 9 touchdowns passes to only two interceptions on the season. Smith's stats aren't anything to gawk at, but he's managing the game to the point the 49ers can win. They'll look to pick up their sixth straight win on a tough cross coast road game.
