Both the Pittsburgh Panthers and Syracuse Orange are closing out disappointing seasons and both are fighting to finish .500.
The Syracuse Orange are looking to stop a losing skip, dropping their last four games and fighting to not make it five in a row. The Orange offense has hit a wall so to speak, after a nice 5-2 start and upsetting then ranked No. 15 West Virginia. The wheels fell off after that however, but the Orange will look to right the ship against the Pittsburgh Panthers. Senior quarterback Ryan Nassib had been a bit too hot and cold during the losing streak and he'll need to not turn the ball over if the Orange want to win.
The Panthers on the other hand come in losing four of their last six games, including last weeks gut wrenching 21-20 collapse to the West Virginia Mountaineers. Quarterback Tino Sunseri has struggled to pass the football during the six game stretch, turning the ball over five times. The Pittsburgh rushing attack will need to carry the Panthers offense against an Orange defense that is giving up 28 points per game.
