Manchester United Midfieder Park Ji-Sung Ruled Out For Four Weeks With Hamstring Injury

Manchester United will be without the services of influential midfielder Park Ji-Sung for the next several weeks after the Korean sustained a hamstring problem in training before the weekend. Prior to the injury, Park had been absent from the United squad due to international commitments at the AFC Asian Cup - he has since retired from national team duty - and was working on re-integrating with the first team before this latest incident.

Although he has been primarily used as a rotational player, Park's tireless running and versatility has seen him picked for some of United's most important matches over the years, and has appeared in almost 200 games with the side since he signed for £4M in 2005, scoring 22 goals in the process. Ferguson's side have had to live without him for a month and a half, and now they'll just have to wait a little longer to reinstate their pocket dynamo to the squad, meaning more games for what appears to be a tiring midfield as we approach the run-in to the title.
