Alexandre Pato, who signed for A.C. Milan before his 18th birthday, might be shedding his red-and-black stripes and heading to Spain. It's a bit of a jigsaw puzzle, really: Real Madrid are tired of Sergio Ramos, even though he finally cut his hair, and are ready to send him on his merry way. Milan need a defender, as anyone who's witnessed their recent scrambles at the back can testify. But they don't need to get rid of anyone, considering the Milan defense is aging and injured. So they'll send Pato away, where he'll replace Real forward Karim Benzema. That leaves a hole in the front of Milan's strike force, so they'll bring in Mario Balotelli, who will clearly never manage to thrive in English locker rooms.
Everyone got that? Even if Pato isn't on his way to Real Madrid, however, it's becoming clear that the Duck needs to fly off to a better location. Pato's rarely starting at Milan, and has been unable to forge a decent working partnership with Zlatan Ibrahimović. At just 21 years old, it's time for Pato to find a starting, and possibly starring, role.
