It was only a couple weeks ago that Robbie Findley received his UK work permit. Now, it looks like his season may be over before he was even able to play a match. The United States striker has reportedly suffered a thigh injury that could cause him to miss up to three months.
Findley signed a 2.5-year contract with Nottingham Forest back in December, but had only finalized his transfer this week. Forest currently sits fourth in the Championship's table and is in good position to make the end-of-season playoff that decides the third promotion spot. Forest is only two points out of second, which would guarantee them promotion, with two matches in hand. Forest last played in the EPL in 1998-99.
The loss of Findley is surely a blow, although how big of one is certainly debatable. Forest has received 10 goals from Lewis McGugan, but no more than five from any other player 27 matches into their season.
