The Houston Rockets were involved in a lot of NBA trade rumors, and they have finally made a move, sending point guard Aaron Brooks to the Phoenix Suns in return for point guard Goran Dragic and a first-round pick, according to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.
The Suns "likely" are trading Goran Dragic and a first-round draft choice to Houston for Aaron Brooks, a source said.
ESPN's Chris Broussard has also reported the trade is happening. The Rockets will get the Suns' own pick if they make the playoffs and the pick acquired from the Orlando Magic earlier this year if they do not, according to John Gambadoro of Sports 620 KTAR.
Brooks is an impending free agent that the Rockets seemed likely to let go anyway, whereas Dragic has a player option for next season. The Suns, meanwhile, coveted Brooks at the 2007 draft and may use him as a long-term replacement for Steve Nash.
