Yesterday was a big day for nerds like me, as Baseball Prospectus rolled out THE NEW PECOTAs. You have to be a BP subscriber to dig into the numbers for yourself, but as a public service I will present 2011’s most valuable players:

4. Troy Tulowitzki
5. Alex Rodriguez
And that space after Pujols is meant to suggest the massive gap between his WAR and everyone else’s. Just one more little tidibit: Brian McCann edges Joey Votto for 11th place on the list.
