The NCAA 2011 bracket has been announced on the Selection Sunday show, and Pittsburgh has been awarded the No. 1 seed in the Southeast Region for the NCAA Tournament during the Selection Sunday show.
The Panthers are coming off an early loss in the Big East tournament, as Pittsburgh fell to Connecticut on Thursday in a quarterfinal game, 76-74. UConn got its own March Madness started, going on to win the Big East tournament after a magical run, beating Louisville in the final on Saturday.
The No. 2 seed is Florida, despite the Gators not winning the SEC Tournament, while Jimmer Fredette and BYU earns the No. 3 seed. The bracket certainly sets up well for Pittsburgh to make a deep run.
