The Michigan Wolverines return to March Madness for the second time in John Bellein's tenure, while Bruce Pearl's Tennessee Volunteers have made the dance in all six of his Knoxville years. The winner advances to play the Duke Blue Devils in the second ("third"!) round.
Star Watch: Michigan's Darius Morris led all power conference players in assists, and did it while leading the Wolverines in scoring. Tim Hardaway Jr. has also become a threat to blow up -- he's dropped 20 or more points in half of his last eight games.
Scotty Hopson, possessor of the most squared-off box haircut in college sports, made first-team All-SEC along with seven (seven?) other players, while Tobias Harris is out to post his 10th double-double of the year.
Prediction: Morris isn't just the best player on the court in this game. He'd be the best player on most courts. But the Pearl Vols are capable of beating or losing to anybody. It would probably surprise me more if Michigan won this one, but I think that's because I'm expecting Tennessee to happen, so I'll pick Michigan.
