Three Rounder

Three Round Mock with inexplicable explanations & a couple of unlikely trades

- Carolina Blaine Gabbert QB Missouri Jimmy Clausen has been a complete failure in Carolina in terms of both passing & leadership. New coaching staff picks a QB who could develop into a franchise QB. Gabberts high wonderlic score (42) plus his athleticism & strong arm makes him the top pick

- Denver Marcel Dareus DT Alabama Broncos pick up one of the very best players in this draft who can play any position on the D-line but will excel as a DT in a 4-3

- Buffalo Cam Newton QB Auburn Bills get their QB of the future. He is able to sit behind Fitzpatrick most of the season, learning behind a very smart QB & being taught by a very smart head coach. IMO Newton has the potential to be a top 5 QB but needs the time & guidance to develop.

- Cincinnati Julio Jones WR Alabama Bengals pick up excellent WR prospect after losing both Johnson & Owens (& I know that's speculation). Jones will immediately start & help whoever is behind Center.Jones is the pick because of his speed & physical play

- Houston Von Miller OLB Texas A & M Texans grab OLBer to help Wade Phillips transition to a 3-4

- Detroit Anthony Castonzo LT Boston College Lions get future replacement for 34 year old Backus, Costanzo should be able to start immediately at either RT or LT

- St. Louis trades with New England & get N.E.s 17th pick in 1st & 10th in 3rd

- Philadelphia Gabe Carimi RT Best RT in draft protecting Vicks blindside

- New Orleans Stephen Paea DT Oregon St. High character, hard working penetrater who will fit into Gregg Williams system & is a  Gregg Williams type of player. Immediate starter who will be able to clog up the middle on runs & get at the QB on passing plays.

- Seattle Jake Locker QB Washington Highly talented hometown hero who Pete Carroll can coach out of his bad tendencies & turn into franchise QB

- Baltimore Adrian Clayborn DE Iowa Ravens pick up DE who can seal the edge or can pressure the QB

- Atlanta Leonard Hankerson WR Miami Big, fast, talented WR who can take some of the pressure off of Roddy White & give Matt Ryan another target

- New England Torrey Smith WR Maryland Patriots grab fast wide out with great hands & excellent attitude. High character & team player, a natural for Bill Belichek.

- Chicago Derek Sherrod LT Mississippi St. Bears need to be able to protect Cutler better, Sherrod should be able to step in & start immediately
