ESPN The Magazine had Tommy Hilfiger design mock-ups for new Cowboys, Lakers, Yankees, and Canadiens uniforms. For maximum effect, of course they had him
re-create the most iconic uniform for each pro league tweak the fanbase in each pro league most likely to get worked up over something like this. You probably don't like the Cowboys reimagining pictured above, but I'm mainly concerned about that tiny helmet. I thought we were going to do something about concussions, NFL? How is cramming a player's skull inside a thimble supposed to stop brain injuries?
Here are Hilfiger's ideas for the other three, via the San Antonio Express-News via NBC Dallas-Fort Worth. I kind of like the Lakers one, but am trying to figure out which of the four most resembles a set of boy's pajamas:
SB Nation New York says the project "should never, ever be considered," Lakers fans at SB Nation Los Angeles don't seem overjoyed, and SB Nation Dallas-Forth Worth can't decide which element of the Cowboys uni it hates the most.
