This weekend brings with it one of the biggest football derbies in the world, the Derby della Madonnina at the San Siro. AC Milan play "host" to rivals Internazionale, with the two teams separated by just two points at the top of Serie A. Milan may have won the first derby of the season, but that was before the infamous revitalization of Inter under coach Leonardo. With so much at stake, is there really any wonder why Diego Milito and Alexandre Pato are itching to be fit and play for their respective clubs?
Milito has played for Inter only sporadically this season, a reoccurring injury keeping him on the sidelines. Reports are the striker could suit up for the derby, but since his accelerated return to the pitch has led to further injury, if he plays at all it will likely be off the bench. It's even more likely that Inter will hold off, reserving Milito for their Champions League match against Schalke on April 5.
Pato, meanwhile, still struggles to recover from an ankle injury, missing the Scotland - Brazil friendly on Sunday. Neymar gave Brazil fans plenty to get excited about, but with Zlatan Ibrahimović sitting out the last match of his suspension, Milan might not be so lucky. It wouldn't be at all surprising to see the Duck hustled back into the starting lineup.
