Mocking the Drafts YouTube Channel Update

Welcome back draftniks! Hope you are counting the seconds as we approach the draft (17 days, 4 hours, 23mins, and 15 seconds to go as I write this). Here is a quick list of the newest videos at Mocking the Draft's YouTube Channel. Join us after the break to learn more about our new videos and whats to come before the draft.

First up is Notre Dame taking on Miami (FL) in the Sun Bowl. The Golden Domer's jump out front early as WR Michael Floyd uses his size and speed to pick on the Hurricane secondary. The Hurricane secondary wasn't the only issue with Miami though. Jacory Harris throws 3 INT in the first half and is replaced by QB Stephen Morris before halftime. Interesting fact: 11 different players caught passes for Miami, with Leonard Hankerson leading the way on 6 catches.

Iowa and Missouri fought an exciting battle in the Insight Bowl. Iowa jumps out in front early and kills it with the running game featuring Marcus Coker. As a team, Iowa rushing for 225 yards at 6.1 yrds/carry. Coker had 219 of those yards and averaged 6.6 yrds/carry. The Tigers though come back with their pass heavy attack and take the lead late, though ultimately fall on an INT returned for a touchdown and a pass on 4th down that was ruled incomplete after replay.

Some may be wondering how a game that ends in a 59-0 shellacking would get airtime and my answer would be to address the many, many requests we had for film on New Mexico State CB Davon House. This is the only New Mexico State game I have seen for this past season and I don't see why many think he will be taken in the 2nd.  He does have the size and looks the part, but he didn't really show up this game. Almost apathetic in his play. The first time he defends a pass he gets called for PI and he doesn't gets his hand on the ball the rest of the game though they do throw his direction. He also doesn't provide anything in the way of run defense as Boise continually ran to his side of the field and House most of the time waits for the runner to get to him instead of attacking him. Might not be the best game to judge him on, but it didn't leave a good impression. The Broncos put on a show with 6 different players scoring touchdowns and none of them are from Titus Young or Austin Pettis, though they do get to make plays in the game with 5 catches each.

We complete our series covering the final rounds of the FCS Playoffs with the Eastern Washington/Delaware finale. Delaware jumps out front early with some nice running from RB Anthony Pierce and some timely throws by QB Pat Devlin. However, the Fightin' Blue Hens have trouble keeping momentum. After not scoring the entire first half, the Eagles begin scoring with less than two minutes in the 3rd and get a touchdown late to finish with a 20-19 win, aided by blocked PAT from Delaware's first touchdown.

Finally, we come to the Texas Bowl featuring Illinois vs Baylor. Lots of talent to keep an eye on in this game including: Martez Wilson, Mikel Leshoure, Danny Watkins, Robert Griffin III, Phil Taylor, and Jay Finley, but all are over shadowed by the big day from Corey Liuget: 6 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 1 sack, and a ton of pressure on the Baylor offense.
