2011 SB Nation NFL Mock Draft: Round 2, Pick 54

Our annual 2011 NFL Mock Draft, with picks made by each of SB Nation's NFL team bloggers, is in full swing. The latest pick in to the podium: the Philadelphia Eagles, at No. 54 overall.

With the 54th overall pick in the 2011 SB Nation NFL Writers Mock Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Clint Boling, offensive tackle, Georgia.

Jason Brewer explains: Frankly, I was a bit surprised to see Clint Boling still on the board at No. 53. The Eagles love versatile offensive linemen that can play all over the place. Boling has started at RT, RG and LT. They also have always loved athletic offensive linemen that can move around and pull, which Boling is known to do. He was a four-year starter at Georgia, so I think he could potentially come in and start at RG right away, which was really a revolving door for the Eagles last year, and maybe challenge Winston Justice at RT at some point.

Dan Kadar reacts: It's sort of a surprise to see Boling get picked this early. He's experienced and versatile, but never really stood out at a position or in any aspect of the game. His best trait is probably his nasty demeanor, and he'd be a good fit at guard. He doesn't have the arm length or agility to play tackle. In fact, a better pick may have been Will Rackley of Lehigh.  [Clint Boling Scouting Report]
