1 round teaser

Wear a raincoat!

Round 1

  1. Carolina (2-14- Blaine Gabbert QB Mizzou- Not a fan of Gabbert at all, but I think the Panthers got a good shot of picking him. Plays QB and looks the part, just not sure that he is one. Nothing really more to say about that
  2. Denver (4-12)- Marcel Dareus- DT/DE- Alabama- my best player in the draft, Denver gets lucky like Detroit did with Suh. Not as good as House of Spears, but excellent in his own way.
  3. Buffalo (4-12)- Cam Jordan-DE- Cal- is this too high for him? No. Dude's worth this pick, he's that good. The Chiefs built their D the right way, from the trenches, now they have a great fast young defense. Maybe Buffalo should follow that?
  4. Cincinnati (4-12) Julio Jones-WR-Alabama- Got him over AJ Green mostly since its a Bengals thing to do and over Pat Peterson since I think Jon Joseph stays and if they feel the need to address secondary, it does so later
  5. Arizona (5-11)Von Miller-OLB-Texas A&M- another player I don't really like, but this appears to be his floor. Very fast off the edge, but not much else other then a workout warrior. He might be the Vernon Gholston of the draft, but unlike Gholston at least he goes to a team that plays his style of defense and he should be fine.
  6. Cleveland (5-11)- AJ Green-WR Georgia- Holmgren instantaneously fills his diaper and Colt McCoy runs around his crib like a wide eyed toddler.
  7. San Francisco (6-10- Pat Peterson- CB/S LSU- Harbaugh even tho he's excited as hell with the pick yells obscenities at the nearest inanimate object.
  8. Tennessee (6-10)- Cam Newton-QB Auburn- again not sure about Newton, but I think this is his floor. The franchise turned Alcorn State spread offense superstar Steve McNair (RIP) into a nearly HOF caliber player (or does he get in?), so maybe they do it again..just not Fisher I guess....
  9. Dallas (6-10)- Prince Amukamara-CB-Nebraska- I couldn't sabotage them with Tyron Smith, I just couldn't. Prince is a solid, well schooled corner with toughness, speed and very technically sound to go with elite athleticism. Still won't cover Steve Smith, but hopefully he lays Desean Jackson out for a few months
  10. Washington (6-10)- Nick Fairley-DE/DT-Auburn- Not the greatest fit, but I wouldn't think the Redskins care. Fairley wouldn't buck (at least at first) to the 3-4 thing.
  11. Houston (6-10)Phil Taylor NT Baylor- When Wade was DC in San Diego, he had Jamal Williams, who could make a nesting doll out of Jay Ratliff. So yes, Wade doesn't mind a big NT. Taylor has all the athleticism you'd want out of a porker too, and the strength.
  12. Minnesota (6-10)- Jimmy Smith-CB-Colorado- the Vikings love going BPA, and on my board Smith has all a that, especially since the Vikings always seem to be injury prone in the secondary. And you can never have enough in the save division as the Packers, plus defending Megatron is a must
  13. Detroit (6-10) Robert Quinn DE-UNC-contemplated an OL, since I don't believe the 4th best pass blocking schpiel. But Quinn and Suh will tear QBs limb from limb, and Avril will scoop up the entrails.
  14. St. Louis (7-9)- Muhammed Wilkerson-DT-Temple- Wilkerson reminds me a bit of Fred Robb, and Spags used that monster to help him win a Super Bowl and can use him again to teach Version 2.0
  15. Miami (7-9)- Mark Ingram-RB-Alabama- seems to be a consensus pick, fans seem to like it....I really have no idea why anyone sees this as a good pick. But there it is.
  16. Jacksonville (8-8)- DaQuan Bowers-DE-Clemson- Jags fans will find a gripe here of course, but Bowers is by far my best player on the board, and they could use a pass rusher. And if he's healthy, they found their Tony Boselli of the defense. Bowers, Knighton and Alualu and [insert name here] will be an excellent line
  17. New England - from Oakland (8-8)- Mike Pouncey-G/C- Florida- Bastards! Versatile interior OL lets Kraft torture Logan Mankins another year by not giving him a contract.
  18. San Diego (9-7)-JJ Watt-DT/DE Wisconsin- Chargers are a talented team that could probably use some of the players AJ Smith doesn't feel are necessary in order to be better then 9-7. Anywho, Watt is versatile DL that loves to get after the QB. That's agood thing
  19. New York Giants (10-6)- Gabe Carimi- OT-Wisconsin- I fully do not expect this to be the pick!
  20. Tampa Bay (10-6)- Aldon Smith-DE-Mizzou- Bucs continue to bolster the trenches!
  21. Kansas City* (10-6)-Tyron Smith-OT-USC- he fits their zone blocking ideal and you really can't have too many talented OLs. Plus I don't see any NTs or pass catchers worth this spot
  22. Indianapolis* (10-6)- Anthony Castanzo OT BC- Peyton can finally turn his rear view mirror into a scope for his sniper rifle. His ass thanks Polian, but he has no comment
  23. Philadelphia* (10-6)-Derrek Sherrod-OT Miss State- young OL= good OL, as per Jimmy Boob. Plus the Eagles always copy the Giants in the draft. Plus Sherrod's fat which Forklift appreciates, and he's a pretty good athletic OL that might be better suited for the right side, Vick's blind.
  24. New Orleans* (11-5) Akeem Ayers-OLB UCLA- I think he can play inside and outside and should fit Gregg Williams blitz oriented defense
  25. Seattle* (7-9)- Jake Locker- Washington-QB- I expect them to probably move up (possibly to #19 just to secure him and stop others from moving up). I think he'd mesh well with Pete Carrol
  26. Baltimore* (12-4)-Justin Houston-OLB Georgia- the Raven strikes gold again
  27. Atlanta* (13-3)- Nate Solder- OT Colorado- tough team to peg, but they've made excellent OLs over the years out of lower round picks like Tyson Clabo. Solder has a nasty streak, he just doesn't know what he's doing. Should be a good fit on the right side if Clabo goes or maybe he kicks Sam Baker over to the right
  28. New England* (14-2)- Ryan Kerrigan OLB Purdue- does Belicheck finally get a decent pass rusher again?
  29. Chicago* (11-5)-Adrian Clayborn-DT-Iowa- Lovie likes those undersized interior lineman and Clayborne can be a beast when he wants to be.
  30. New York Jets* (11-5)- Martez Wilson-ILB-Illinois- Jest go for another Wilson, but instead of learning from Revis this one is Bart Scott's padawan.
  31. Pittsburgh* (12-4)- Kyle Rudolph-TE- Notre Dame- Pitt just goes BPA. Heath Miller will be 29 in October, but he gets hit a lot so its probably an old 29. Big Ben likes em tall, young and lean too.
  32. Green Bay* (10-6)- Jonathon Baldwin-WR- Pittsburg- Rich get richer. They could use an OL, but there's ones to be had later. 6"5 230lbs WRs who run 4.5s and are as good as Baldwin are now. They still remember what Plaxico did to them.

Planned on going 4 rounds, but that's what she said
