Will Clint Bowyer return to Richard Childress Racing next season?
He’d like to, but Bowyer told reporters on Tuesday that he’s still working through his contract situation (which is up at the end of the season).
“I’ve talked to (team owner) Richard (Childress) a couple times, and hopefully we’re getting close on that,” Bowyer said. “Hopefully we can get our sponsors locked in and get everything put in place and not have to worry about it.”
It sounds as if Bowyer wants to stay at RCR, but much depends on sponsorship.
Other potential free agents like Greg Biffle and Bowyer’s teammate Jeff Burton have already signed contract extensions.
