The Ravens missed out on the 26th pick, but it didn't matter. Baltimore is maybe a big cornerback and offensive tackle away from making the Super Bowl.
With the 27th pick, they got one of the two with Colorado cornerback Jimmy Smith.
Smith's off-field the concerns should trouble most teams. It shouldn't be a problem for the Ravens. With Ed Reed and Rey Lewis, they have the kind of veteran leadership to keep Smith in check.
When Smith is going right, he's arguably the best cornerback in this class. He's a big, athletic cornerback who can play the press style that Baltimore requires of its cornerbacks.
