University of Miami head coach Frank Haith has accepted the head coaching position at Missouri to replace Mike Anderson, according to multiple reports.
Miami forward Julian Gamble might have been the inadvertent confirmation when he tweeted: "Coach Haith leavin to Missouri… Stickin with my brothers and we gon get better regardless!"
Missouri officials are supposed to meet Monday to confirm terms of the contract while Haith will be formally introduced shortly thereafter.
Haith is 129-101 with just one NCAA Tournament in seven seasons at Miami. His teams are 10-22 in ACC play the last two seasons. Those unimpressive numbers are of chief concern for Missouri fans who were expecting the Tigers to make a splash but instead spent the evening Googling their new head coach in order to find out who he was.
Haith is known as being a top recruiter, however, and has experience recruiting and coaching for fellow Big 12 schools Texas A&M and Texas.
Missouri fans are going to be up discussing this one, join them over at Rock M Nation.
