2011 NFL Undrafted Free Agents List: Mark Herzlich, Derrick Locke Among Big Names
Though the 2011 NFL Draft is over, teams can't yet start reaching out to undrafted free agents -- thanks a lot, ongoing and confusing NFL lockout. However, we've been able to put together an unofficial list of potential UDFA signings based on which players were left over in NFL.com's database Saturday night, and it includes some pretty prominent prospects.
Boston College Eagles LB Mark Herzlich, who famously battled back from cancer to resume his college football career, has said that he won't let a little thing like not getting drafted get in his way. Kentucky Wildcats RB/WR/QB/Etc. Derrick Locke understands his spinal injury scared off quite a few teams, but also says it won't stop his eventual NFL debut.
How many of these players will end up making a Pro Bowl? This year's all-star game featured 23 former undrafted free agents.
