Just the other day I was talking with a friend wondering what former Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kordell Stewart was up to. He hasn't played in the NFL in six years and seemed to just kind of disappear (outside of his appearance on Pros vs. Joes of course).
Apparently, one thing he hasn't been doing is showing up to court as Stewart was arrested outside of Atlanta on Wednesday.
A source tells Channel 2's Mike Petchenik officers arrested Stewart on Windward Parkway and charged him with driving with a suspended license and failure to appear. He was booked into the Alpharetta City Jail.
For most people, this isn't a very big deal but for former NFL players like Stewart it makes the news.
The last time he tried to make it back into the NFL was in 2008 when he revealed he hadn't actually submitted his retirement papers. His attempt to get back in the league was to no avail and no team signed him.
