Do you know how annoying it is to get from Yankee Stadium to Citi Field on the Subway? You have to take the four train all the way to Grand Central, transfer to the terrible 7, and then go all the way back east to Flushing. You are traversing two long edges of an underground triangle that has no hypotenuse. And God forbid you accidentally get on the BD, which takes you southwest down the left flank of the island, then bends you back east all the way to Bryant Park where you begin your endless journey on the 7.↵
If there were a line that started at the Stadium, ran along 161st ESE across the 278, over Flushing Bay, wrapping around La Guardia and bending down the Whitestone/Van Wyck Expressways -- a longer version of the S train that bounces back and forth between Times Square and GCS -- then, sure, fine, call it the "Subway Series." But until then, I think they should go with the much more accurate name that I've been trying to get them to adopt for years:
The Two Stupid Bunches of Stupid Loser Doodyheads Series.
