Current Preakness 2011 Odds: Animal Kingdom Still Favored As Field Jostles

Animal Kingdom has held steady at 2/1 in the early odds for the 2011 Preakness Stakes, but the rest of the field is moving around, albeit marginally. Dialed In and Mucho Macho Man hold the second- and third-best odds, with Dialed In at 4/1 and Mucho Macho Man at 9/2. After those three, the field is wide-open, with the rest of the contenders all in double-digits and lumped together in bunches.

Sway Away is at 10/1, followed by Shackleford at 12/1. At the Kentucky Derby, Shackleford set the pace, but faded down the stretch as Animal Kingdom made his run and blew away the field at the wire. Newcommer Dance City is at 15/1, along with Bob Baffert trained Midnight Interlude, another one of the Derby holdovers. The odds are subject to change throughout the day as bets come in ahead of the 2011 Preakness Stakes on Saturday.
