That Ohio State would turn on Ray Small after he spilled on the university’s special treatment of football players, anybody could see coming. That he would turn right back and accuse the paper of “mischaracterizing” him with words their staffers say they took from a recorded interview — well, that we didn’t see coming, but we probably should have.
