The week following the NFL draft isn't just about fans getting to know their new draft picks and grading how each team did. It's also the time NFL front offices make changes to their scouting staff to prepare for the next season.
In Buffalo, that process has started. The Bills have announced that VP of college scouting Tom Modrak has been relieved of his duties. SB Nation's Buffalo Rumblings writes that this is the most significant move GM Buddy Nix has made since he was hired.
Throughout his career in Buffalo, Modrak has been a focal point of fan frustration, as the team has - to put it mildly - struggled to draft adequately in the last decade. His role seemed to have dwindled ever since Nix took over, and now he is out completely.
It's a new era for the Bills since Nix was brought in and, as they say, it's out with the old, and in with the new.
