Maryland Terrapins sophomore forward Jordan Williams announced he'll leave school early and enter the 2011 NBA Draft. However, he's pulling the not-hire-an-agent move, which means he could decide to return, though he only has until May 8 to do so. Williams on his decision to leave UM:
I'm excited about testing the waters and seeing where I would be. It's always been a dream of mine to play at the next level. This will give me an opportunity to get feedback from some NBA coaches and scouts on what parts of my game need improvement in order to be successful.
Coach Gary Williams said he supports his player's "efforts to see where he lands," a statement you could certainly read to say the coach is not quite as high on the draft prospects of anyone involved as others might be.
