NCAA Baseball Super Regionals 2011, Florida St. Vs. Texas A&M: Aces Dueling In Sixth

Unsurprisingly, Game 1 of the NCAA Baseball Super Regional between Texas A&M and Florida State has been a pitchers duel, as aces Ross Stripling and Sean Gilmartin are both throwing very well. Through five innings, both have allowed one run and the game is tied up at 1-1.

Matt Juengel started off the scoring with a solo home run off of Gilmartin in the first inning, but the FSU star has been nearly perfect since then. He has no walks and he's only allowed two base hits, more than atoning for his early mistake. The Seminoles answered instantly by manufacturing a run in the bottom of the first, and like Gilmartin, Stripling has avoided mistakes since then.

Both of these teams have great bullpens, so the drop off in quality isn't going to be much on the mound when it's time for the starters to come off. However, it should still represent a better chance to generate offense than the two teams have right now.
